COLVENNOR FARMHOUSE SELF-CATERING HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION: TERMS AND CONDITIONS – REVISED 8 FEBRUARY 2021 AND APPLICABLE TO ALL BOOKINGS AFTER THIS DATE
We would be most grateful if the person making the booking with us, “the Lead Booker”, reads these terms and conditions carefully before booking. We recommend that the Lead Booker arranges adequate travel and cancellation insurance in accordance with our cancellation policy. Our contract, as owners, is with the Lead Booker. We will reserve telephone/email bookings requested for five working days to allow time for payment by Bank Transfer or to receive payment by cheque. Deposit or full payment, whichever is applicable, will be required during this period. We have to say that the reservation will be cancelled if payment is not received within this time frame.
A deposit made at least eight weeks in advance of the start of the holiday date must accompany bookings. The balance is then due without reminder at least eight weeks before the start of the holiday, otherwise the booking will be cancelled and the deposit returned to the Lead Booker less an administration charge of £50.00 per week booked. For holidays booked less than eight weeks before the start of the holiday, the full rental is to be paid at the time of booking. Payments may be made by UK Cheque or by Bank Transfer. The cheque should be made payable to “Mrs Patricia K Wright”. If by Bank Transfer, Bank Details and the Booking Reference Number will be provided by the owners.
Credit/Debit Cards. We do not accept credit/debit card payments.
Rental Cost up to £400.00: Deposit £125.00
Rental Cost up to £600.00: Deposit £180.00
Rental Cost up to £800.00: Deposit £250.00
Rental Cost up to £1000.00: Deposit £300.00
Rental Cost up to £1400.00: Deposit £350.00
Rental Cost up to £1900.00: Deposit £450.00
Bookings from Outside the UK.
Bookings from outside the UK in the Euro Zone will be accepted with payment via Bank Transfer direct to our bank. The Lead Booker is responsible for paying all charges connected with making a bank transfer including charges at the UK end. Confirmation will be issued when the money has been received. Bookings from other countries will be accepted only if payment is made from a UK Bank by cheque or bank transfer.
This agreement is not intended to create a tenancy: The Lead Booker is granted a licence to occupy the property between the agreed dates. The party members must be as advised to us at the time of booking and we, the owners, are to be granted reasonable access to the property during the occupancy if required. This includes maintaining the garden. Occupancy is from 5:00 pm on the day of arrival to 09:00 am on the day of departure. Change-over is on a Friday. We do not believe in rushing our guests but we need to have time to prepare for new arrivals within this 8-hour window. We aim to provide a property that is spotless and with everything in good working order. If anything is found which does not meet expectations on, or soon after, arrival, we would wish to know as soon as possible so we can put matters right. On the guests’ part, we expect that the guests keep the premises and all furniture, fittings and effects in the premises in the same state of repair and condition as at the start of the holiday. We do not require a deposit against damages preferring to treat our guests as we would like to be treated ourselves, leaving it to guests to compensate us fairly for any damage etc that they have incurred. Domestic utilities (heating, electricity, and water) are for normal, reasonable domestic use only.
The number of persons accommodated is not to exceed 5 plus a baby in a cot. Only persons (including babies) notified to us on booking are eligible to stay at the property. The holiday is not transferable but, if individual party members change, then the Lead Booker must let us know prior to arrival. We do not accept more than two children under 10 years of age.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets.
In Case of Complaint.
Any issues regarding the property or facilities must be taken up with us at the earliest opportunity so we can make all efforts to resolve problems immediately.
Changing a Booking.
Changing the date of the booking is at our sole discretion.
We use only the information provided by the Lead Booker in order to complete the booking and to ensure the holiday with us is an enjoyable one. We use email addresses in order to communicate in connection with the booking. We take personal data seriously and do not share information provided/email addresses with anyone else.
If the holiday is cancelled by the Lead Booker more than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday, the deposit will be returned less an administrative charge of £50.00 per week booked.
If the holiday is cancelled within 8 weeks of the start of the holiday, payments will be retained by us. We do, however, undertake to do our utmost to re-let, and, if we do manage to re-let, payments will be refunded, less 10% to cover administrative charges. If we do not manage to re-let, we will refund 10% of the monies paid.
If we, the owners, have to cancel because of unforeseen circumstances, for example, fire, flood, illness etc, all monies received will be refunded
If the UK Government orders, for example, a pandemic lockdown, which prevents holidays being taken by guests or our ability to remain open to host them, then all payments will be returned, unless the Lead Booker wishes to change the holiday to another date acceptable to us, the owners.
